With out this support new recordings would not be possible.   New Life Story Series We are very excited to share with you these excellent Personal Testimonies. One of the most powerful witnesses of the Gospel is when people share what God has done for them. These are faith building stories for everyone.   Our Purpose Vaillant Recordings is dedicated to producing Christ centered music. Our desire is to create music that is both spiritual and edifying. Music that will draw the mind of the listener to the creator of all things.   We realize the tremendous power music can have for good, and we want to use that power to encourage as many as possible. A good example of this are Scripture Songs. Children are able to learn large portions of the Bible this way, even before they can read. These songs will then be a life long encouragement and fortress against sin. We are simply amazed at how powerful they are, and thank God for them.     A Brief History Some have asked how this work got started, and we did not have anything written up to share with them, so we thought we would include it here.   In 1984 Ron Vaillant became a christian and was convicted that his music tastes needed changing. So he prayed and asked God to show him what music heaven could approve of. After some time Ron's record collection was down to a handful of albums. This was quite a problem because he had previously spent about $20,000.00 on his home stereo.   Undaunted, he went to the local christian bookstore to replace his collection. Upon listening to countless recordings depression set in. While there were some gems to be found the vast majority of the music was the same as he had just thrown in the trash, only with christian lyrics. This he found to be especially dangerous; just as sugar coated poison is much more dangerous than straight poison.   After selling his stereo and going without music for some time Ron concluded that if he wanted music he was going to have to record it. So off he went to the Pro Audio dealer and bought some basic equipment. Not understanding about 90% of what the salesman was saying he realized that recording might be a much harder task than he thought, and it was. At this time he met Patti Dahl. She was singing in a group that Ron was recording. She had a real nice voice, and well, everything else about her seemed real nice also. Both Patti and Ron were asking God who they should marry. They each wanted a partner they could work with in ministry. In 1989 they were happily married.   In the mid to later 80's Ron was so blessed by the simple recordings produced that he gave away as many as he could afford. He did not want to charge for them because the music was a labor of love. But with equipment repairs and the cost of buying more professional gear he decided to go a new direction.   If people bought the music then maybe one day he and Patti could make a simple living at recording music. This would make many more recordings possible. By not making this step the whole endeavor would eventually die and fade away. The result would have been no more heavenly music to share with others. The choice was obvious.   Even though Ron and Patti have not made a living at recording music, they have been blessed with a modest recording facility. Making music is still a labor of love and Ron and Patti are very grateful to see the music blessing others.   Ron is currently working full time at Vaillant Recordings and loving it. For him it is the most rewarding and challenging work he has ever done. "When people tell us how they and their families are spiritually blessed by this work it gives us courage to continue on. Satan hates this effort and does what he can to destroy it. There is only one direction to go, and that is forward, God willing."   Scripture Songs V This is a "Righteousness By Faith" album as many of the songs focus on that theme. The front cover portrays a pitcher of water and a wash basin, as Christ might have used to wash His disciples feet. This is symbolic of how He desires to wash us clean of sin and selfishness.   The album points to our only hope, Jesus Christ. Some of the Bible passages are especially powerful in this way. It always amazes us how a Bible passage set to the right music can really come alive. We think this is because the music allows us to approach the passage from a different perspective. We personally gain spiritual insights when scripture is set to music that may otherwise be missed. We hope this is your experience also.   Call To Him It has been a pleasure working with Rudy Davis on his debut christian album "Call To Him  ." Rudy truly has been blessed musically and we are thankful he is using this gift to reach others.   This is not Rudy's first recording. Here is a brief biography. He had recorded one other album in the early eighties, before following Christ. It was an all out effort. He had Aundr´e Perry as executive producer. He is the one who produced John Lennons hit "Give Peace a Chance." The engineer was Nick Blagona, who has engineered major bands like the Bee Gees, Moody Blues and Deep Purple, etc. He had the keyboardest from the band "Police" play on the album. It cost him $3,500.0 a day to record. The bill came to over $105,000.00. Whew!   When Rudy learned of Christ and of the wonderful plan of salvation he chose to follow God completely. He walked away from his rock and roll career, which was highly successful. The master tapes from his super expensive album he threw into a trash can somewhere in western Canada. By this time he had spent over $200,000.00 into the album, in promotion and touring etc. But it was not going to stand in the way of eternal life, so in the trash it went.   The glamor, riches, and fame of being a rock musician he gladly gave in exchange for a living experience with God. Rudy's career is now like that of Christ disciples, to share the Gospel with as many as he can. This brings him tremendous job satisfaction.   It was during this new birth experience that Rudy wrote many of the songs for "Call To Him." These songs sat dormant for many years as Rudy was hesitant to go into a recording studio as it would bring back too many memories and feelings. It would be like an alcoholic going to the bar. Even though people tried to encourage him to record he waited until the time was right.   It was after Patti and I met Rudy and his wife in 1997 that the time had come. The Lord had blessed with a major studio upgrade so we were able to give Rudy a quality recording. Rudy saw the Lord's leading and was ready for the challenge.   It is our hope that the music will encourage those walking the walk of faith; that it may lead some who are not christians to a vibrant relationship with our savior. May the Lord reach souls through this effort is our prayer.   Rudy and his wife Jeannie are both natural path doctors and operate a health conditioning center.
